Holly Hunter, an American actor and producer, is well-known for her stellar performances in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards and awards, among them an Oscar for her movie Piano. Her career began acting as a performer on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. From the time she was a child she's been enthusiastic about performing. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. Following a bout of Mumps, she was deaf in one ear. But, it didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to become an actor. She was a drama major at the college after which she moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her dream. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. Hunter relocated into Los Angeles and tried to get films roles. For Swing Shift, she landed an appearance as a supporting character. Holly Hunter has been in numerous television series, films and films over the course of her professional career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
