Holly Hunter, an American film and actress, is well-known for her stellar performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards which included the Oscar for her movie Piano. The talented actress began her acting career in the theatre through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Enthusiastic about acting from her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. Following a bout of Mumps, she was blind on the other side the ear. But, it didn't stop her from pursuing her dream to pursue a career as an actress. In her teens she studied drama, before moving to New York City. Hunter met Beth Henley by chance in the lift. Together they composed Broadway Crimes of the Heart. It was Hunter's acting debut. After that, she moved into Los Angeles and tried to get movie roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Her career spans more than 30 years, and she's been featured in numerous TV shows or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
